Session 5 - Play Under Pressure

This is the session most golfers never train for.

They work on technique. They hit balls. They practice skills. But they rarely practice the thing that matters most on the course: performing under pressure when something is on the line.

Session 5 is different to the previous four. There is no technique block. No fixing. No adjustments.

Everything you've built across Sessions 1 to 4 gets tested here. The goal is simple: trust what you've trained and let it show up when it counts.

What You'll Work On

Session 5 has three parts. A light data check to confirm your baseline is intact, a confidence-building skills block using your strongest shots, and a full pressure competition to finish.

The mindset shift for this session is important. You are not here to fix anything. You are here to perform.

Light Check (0-10 min)

Mode: Shot Analysis

6-8 shots only. One quick look at your data.

You are checking, not fixing. There is a difference.

If something looks slightly off, note it and move on. This is not the time to make adjustments. The purpose of this block is to confirm your strike is where you left it in Session 4 and build confidence before the competition block.

Trust what you've trained.

Skills - Confidence Builder (10-30 min) Mode: Target Practice

Two rules only: favourite clubs only, favourite distance only, favourite shapes only.

This is deliberate. The skills block in Session 5 is not about pushing new territory. It is about building momentum into the competition block. Hit the shots you know. Hit them well. Carry that confidence forward.

Competition - Pressure Test (30-60 min)

Mode: Competitions / Tournaments - Monthly Medal

This is where the session earns its name.

The Monthly Medal is GreenBays' ongoing competition - open all month, results on the leaderboard. Every shot counts. There are no mulligans, no adjustments between shots, and no skipping the pre-shot routine when the pressure rises.

Three rules for this block: full pre-shot routine on every shot, a miss means reset before the next, no technical thoughts.

If the medal is unavailable on your session date, use Performance Centre as a fallback - but the medal is the target. Your first competitive round sets your benchmark. Everything after that is about beating it.

Session Takeaway

Five sessions in, you have built a baseline, developed distance control, sharpened your wedge game, dialled in your irons, and now competed under pressure.

The number worth checking before you finish: compare your Shots Gained from this session against Session 1. That gap is your improvement made visible.

Your first medal score is your baseline. Write it down. Come back. Beat it.

What comes next?

Five sessions is a start, not a finish.

The golfers who keep improving are the ones who keep practicing with structure. The GreenBays membership gives you ongoing access to the bays with the same TrackMan framework built into every session.

If you are not ready for a membership yet, a session pack keeps the momentum going without a weekly commitment.

Either way, the work you have done across these five sessions does not have to stop here.
